Third Party Scholarships

In addition to St. Hubert Academic, Merit, Fine Arts & Music Scholarships, many generous third-party organizations provide scholarships to students who attend St. Hubert. Qualifications and deadlines vary depending on the awarding organization. A list of organizations that we routinely partner with can be found below. Questions regarding these scholarships should be directed to the awarding organization.

This Archbishop’s Grant is for full-time Employees of the Archdiocese who work in a parish, school, or AOP setting. Grants apply to high school tuition and grant recipients may only use the grant at one AOPS high school.  Employees must apply for the grant each year to be considered.

FACTS Grant & Aid application is required!!!!

The Charles Ellis Trust for Girls helps young women in Philadelphia excel in high school and be prepared for post-secondary success.

To be eligible for an Ellis Trust, applicants must:

            1.  Reside in Philadelphia

2.  Live in a single parent household or where one or both parents are physically disabled or mentally absent. Married guardians (aunts, uncles, grandparents, siblings) must still meet the income guidelines.  (Income guidelines can be found on the Ellis Trust for Girls webpage.)

3.  Be currently enrolled in either 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade (including the summer before 9th grade)

4.  Have at least a C average in major school subjects

5.  Continue to make academic progress toward timely graduation

 

Applications are available online every year from January 1 to March 15 at www.ellistrust.org.

The Firefighter Daniel Sweeney Memorial Scholarship is an external scholarship open to all students, without regard to race, sex, national origin or religious beliefs. Our only intent is to help families with the education of their children.

Applications are accepted February 1 through April 30 for that year starting in September.

Daughters or granddaughters of dues-paying members of the Northeast Catholic Alumni Association are eligible for this scholarship.

The Alumni of Northeast Catholic High School (Philadelphia, PA), the Norphans, provides $500 grants to children and grandchildren of North alums through the Norphan Grant.

You must complete a FACTS Financial Aid application to be considered for this grant.

The Jimmy O’Connor grant is awarded to children or grandchildren of active or retired police officers in the Philadelphia region. These grants are for up to four years in the amount of $500 per year.  These grants are named for Jimmy O’Connor, a Philadelphia Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty.  Although Jimmy was a graduate of Northeast Catholic, there is no requirement that the Jimmy O’Connor grant recipient be a descendant of a Northeast Catholic alum.  This scholarship is for up to four years

Children First America, Delaware County PA is organized for the purpose of distributing scholarships to needy families of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and will not limit its scholarships to children who attend one school only. Recipients are free to choose the schools of their choice whether private, public or parochial. 

Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Monsignor Mitchell Scholarship Fund will support high school students in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia who are Catholic and African American, with academic ability and financial need. One (or more, if economically feasible) one-year scholarship(s), up to $2,000, will be awarded annually based upon the determination of the Selection Committee. Student recipients must reapply each year.

Application Deadline:  April 30, 2024!!

Applicants for this scholarship should be the daughter/granddaughter of a Philadelphia firefighter. The applicant must be a current St. Hubert student (Class of 2025, 2026 & 2027) and:

  •      Maintain an 85 average in school
  •      Be involved in extracurricular activities
  •      Have submitted a FACTS Grant & Aid Application!

The Chuck Cassidy Scholarship Fund is offering two $1,000 Scholarships to students who will be attending St. Hubert Catholic High School for the 2024-25 school year.  

The Chuck Cassidy Scholarship fund is an organization that provides Scholarships to students who have family members in law enforcement.  Grandparents may be included!  

 

To be considered, please have your daughter submit a 500-word essay explaining who their hero is and why by April 25, 2024!

Any student entering 9th grade, for the 2024-25 school year, whose mother/grandmother/sibling/aunt graduated from John W. Hallahan will be eligible to apply for a Scholarship of $1,500 ($6,000 per year) to honor their commitment to a Catholic Education, and to further recognize the respected connection among all Archdiocesan high schools

Requirements:

  1.       Good academics in 8th grade, as well as no problems with absenteeism or discipline, and financial need verified by a complete FACTS application.  A copy of the student's most recent report card should be submitted.
  2.       Scholarship Application should include along with student's name, the name/s of Hallahan graduates related to student, giving relationship/name/year graduated.  Student is to write her honest thoughts of what she hopes to gain from her Catholic education.  Essay should be no longer than one page, 1" margins, double-spaced.
  3.        A final determination for the scholarship will be based on the student's end-of-year report card.
  4.        Parents will need to sign a statement indicating that acceptance of the scholarship is subject to renewal at the end of each semester, and that the Alumnae Association has their permission to review their daughter's report card at the end of the quarter.
  5.       The Alumnae Association will be reviewing each student's report card at the end of every quarter.  The scholarship will be renewable at the end of each semester.  Thus, the Alumnae Association will be awarding half the scholarship amount at the beginning of each semester.
Application and all supporting documents must be submitted to the Tuition Office no later than January 31, 2024.
