Description: The Art Futures Program is offered through the Philadelphia Museum of Art as a way to connect art students with working, professional artists. Schools that are selected, receive an artist in residence for 30 hours, plus $800.00 of art supplies for the project they will be working on and two field trips to the museum. At the end of the residency, student work will be displayed at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for a month, and they are all invited to an award ceremony and luncheon.
Each year the Sewing I & II students participate in a schoolwide Fashion Show where they are the models for their designs, MC, control the music and runway, and do "run of show". Additionally, a formal Premier Fashion Show is run by the Sewing II designers.
