Accomplished artist Stamatios “Nick" Burpulis, husband of Marianne Sisco Burpulis '67 and father of Marisa Burpulis '02 passed away in March 2012. Many of Nick's pieces can be seen on and around the campus of St. Hubert. One of his most notable and recognizable works in our community is the sculpture of St. Hubert kneeling in front of a deer that has been on display in the courtyard next to our main entrance for over 20 years. In appreciation for Nick's passion for and love of art, a memorial scholarship was established in his name in the Spring of 2012. The Stamatios Burpulis Memorial Art Scholarship is open to incoming freshmen for the class of 2025, who demonstrate excellence in, and passion for, artistic endeavors that can be supported by the St. Hubert Art Program.
