Opening Days of School
September 8 and 9
Students will need to bring to class one blue or black pen to complete information sheets. Be prepared to bring you textbook home.
Class Needs for 2010-2011
1- one notebook -- any type -- for note for this class only.
2- a loose-leaf binder might be better since notes will be on line and you can print them
out. The notes will be at this site.
3- one folder -- to hold handouts, class information, etc.
4- blue or black pens for all hand-in assignments (tests, quizzes, homework, projects,
and any written assignment)
5- cover for your textbook

Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation
The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation is again offering scholarships to high schools. Students may log into www.cksf.org and take quizzes on many subjects. If they do well they could win a scholarship of $500. Three students won scholarships last school year and the school students from S.H. earned $500 for the school. Parents may enter and take the quizzes as well.
Sleeping in Class
Putting your head down and sleeping during class are unacceptable behaviors. Students who cannot keep alert during class will be penalized five points every time this situation occurrs. The points will be deducated from your Participation Grade.
