Art

St. Hubert offers a well-rounded, four-year Art Program that arms students with a strong body of work upon completion of the program .  Students in this program have been featured in special exhibits, news releases, won several major awards in various competitions and juried exhibits, and have received numerous scholarships to various art schools.

Art courses are offered to students who desire to develop their artistic skills. A wide variety of experiences is provided throughout the different levels. Drawing, color theory, design principles, painting, ceramics, basic photography, and computer graphics are the major areas of study. An understanding of the basics through progressive lessons prepares the student to meet new challenges on her own. A half-credit for Related Arts is preferred before entering the art courses. However, it is not mandatory. All art students are required to participate in the annual Art Exhibit in May. A  materials fee is charged for each art course.

Performances in include many events, ceremonies, and concerts during the school year, including graduation. They have also successfully performed in various venues and competitions, including All-Cathoic Orchestra and Chorus. Many of our members have received All-Catholic status in the Archdiocese.

Music courses are offered to provide the study of music to a variety of students, viz., those who are committed to the serious study of music, those who wish to pursue music as a subject of secondary interest, and those who through a greater knowledge would develop their aesthetic sensitivity and thus enjoy music more fully.
